GEOTECHNICAL PROJECTS

Great Lakes Soil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (GLSEC) performed a number of subsurface explorations for various projects consisting of roadways, residential and commercial buildings, army corps and naval facilities. Exploration was conducted for new construction, expansion of existing facilities and failure investigations. GLSEC’s geotechnical staff includes two Ph.Ds, and several engineers with Masters in Civil/Geotechnical engineering.

GLSEC’s laboratory facilities consist of a state-of-the-art 13000 sq ft office and laboratory facility to perform advanced testing such as triaxial, consolidation, direct shear and flexwall hydraulic conductivity testing. GLSEC’s facilities are accredited by the Army Corps of Engineers, AASHTO and IDOT. Following is a partial list of geotechnical projects completed by GLSEC.
